It's official. After months of campaigning and badgering, the word 'geti' has been officially accepted into the English language by the Oxford English Dictionary as a verb - yes you read right, the verb 'to geti' and it's all down to the amazing contributions from everybody on the Cooksons forum - take a bow everybody. :worthy:

The definition is currently, (although yet to be confirmed) 'to maintain a literal or verbal advantage'

As seen on GMTV's The Big Breakfast this morning, famous getiers include:

Terry Wogan, "I've said GETi so many times it has become a cliché." - speaking before last year's Eurovision contest.

"This GETi stuff is a little frustrating." - famous quote from George Bush.

"Is he just doing a bad GETi pout, or was he born that way?"
Freddie Mercury on Billy Idol

Uses include: "He's been GETid" - "I can sense a GETi moment" - What the GETi!
