anti-tarnish plating

[Green Monster]

does anyone do this, I am looking at getting a plating bath to reduce my continual stock polishing.
How effective are they?
Does it alter the look of silver in anyway?
How hard weariing is the plating?

Any advice gratefully recieved.

I'm not a fan of plating, but I do store everything with anti-tarnish tabs, or in anti-tarnish ziplocs, which seems to work for me.
