I didnt realise how long ago it was but after watching the video it was over ten years ago, I made a graver sharpener https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8okYiO4paIg&ab_channel=Josef1 sorry for the annoying sound!!
today I I found this on amazon
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08GP6Y896/ref=cm_sw_r_apa_i_8RVS884016DK5FCTFQ62_0?th=1
and with the fine one of these
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/384985492507?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=RQiF8pdNTLi&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=nxTcv13mTOa&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

I recon you could make a pretty cheap sharpner even better if you could secure the lap with magnetic tape. I know its not GRS but it is lots more economical !

I've not tried it as I still use the one I made, I am tempted but it may help someone out if you like a project in the meantime.

I sharpen mine by hand, a retired Watch maker taught me twenty years ago, just like sharpening wood working tools only much smaller and with finer stones.

That's cool, I have tried by hand and they are always a wobbly lol, personally I get better angles when setting up new gravers with the machine.

Have you experimented with both hand sharpening and machine sharpening, and do you find the machine provides more consistent angles for setting up new gravers?

I'm not currently accepting applications for necroposting-spammer-in-residence, thanks.
