Hi to everyone does anyone order from Rio Grande prices are so much cheaper than uk as far as I can work out if the order + postage + vat is less than £136 there is no import duty I am looking at radial discs and silicon wheels it works out about 30% cheaper than h s Walsh

I personally always found out it works out a bit more expensive when you add import tax if applicable and the money the courier company charges for 'processing'. But Ive not ordered from the states for a while so could be wrong.

If it's < £135 the seller charges you VAT and supplies it to HMRC.
If it's > £135 HMRC via Royal Mail charges you VAT (and possibly duty).

Don't forget Royal Mail also charges a 'processing' fee!

From past experience HSW are more expensive than a lot of other companies. I know it's tedious but it may be worth comparing prices with other companies.

Walsh are a bit more expensive and they aren’t my go to if it’s something that can be bought elsewhere. I’ve just bought filters for my Dustmaster and a torch holder but they are about the only stockists
