Hello I am doing a bit of research to put a business plan together. Most of my metal work involves saw piercing. Although I dearly love saw piercing it is a slow process which should I want to increase my jewellery turn around and increase income I decided to look at photo etchers and laser engravers. it's been nearly 20 years since I looked into chemical etching which was common place for silver components and laser etching was limited to possibly just the jewellery innovation centre and not many other places! I can't seem to find chemical etchers online that etch silver. Is this because of the silver wastage in the process? and that laser cutting has replaced chemical etching for precious metals? any info people have regarding these processes will be greatly received.
