Just thought I'd say hello

I'm pretty new to this and my booked silversmithing course has fallen foul of the new lockdown so I'm going to be relying on YouTube videos for the time being.

I'm just awaiting my first order from Cookson's and I will then have no excuse not to get started on a few beginners projects

Wish me luck - I think I'm going to need it!

I'm surprised that they are not continuing online. Andrew Berry is a good interactive resource https://www.atthebench.com/
If you get stuck, you can always get help here. Dennis

Thank you - yes I've discovered Andrew Berry!

Not so interested in online tutoring- it's the practical skills I need refining and I'd far rather have someone watching me and telling me what I am doing wrong! I don't think I'd get that online at least not at my current level.

Well then, over the years utter beginners have used the forum to help them along, and have quickly progressed to be confident jewellers. Dennis.

I can vouch for your comment Dennis. What people make of my work is of course subjective, but I have gained a huge amount of confidence over the last couple of years from on-line tutorials and the support of this forum.
