Twisted wire wisdom

I’ve got a commission to make a pendant of 3 different sized loops using twisted wire with white gold and yellow gold wire. Two of the loops are using 2 wires and one loop is using 5 wires. I was wondering if there are any words of wisdom before I get cracking on the project. It was straightforward with a trial run using brass. I just don’t want to come up with any hiccups using the gold - it could end up an expensive lesson.

Hi Karen,
You obviously know how, but gold is expensive and I sometimes find my second attempt is not a successful.
No idea why that is, but you might just try with two colours, say brass and copper, just to gain more confidence. Dennis.
