Eye damage

Hi everyone.
I had a few hours working with a butane torch last week and the next morning my eyes were stinging badly for a half hour after waking.
The last time my eyes felt like this was after being in a workshop where arc welding was taking place.
Could the flame form butane be causing this?

yes 100% you must have some protection always

With Platinum yes welding goggles are a must but silver and gold I dont bother with any form of tinted eye protection. That said everyone's different.
