Does anyone know where you can get sterling silver end caps with the holes in the ends rather than a loop? Enjoying making viking knit at the moment. All I've been able to find are plate ones

Have you tried all these? https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=cord+end+caps&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-gb&client=safari

Most of those are with the loop to attach your clasp, I want a plain end with a small hole in the base (in sterling). I've only been able to find this sort in alloy. Seems rather odd I can't find any. Like this sort of thing

I suppose at a push if they aren’t too expensive, you could saw the loop off and drill a hole

I make them Sheen - if you want to drop me a PM I'll let you have a price list. All sterling silver, hand fabricated :)
(and apologies for the shameless self-promotion!)

I think that’s a great idea and much better quality than any of the companies I posted George!

It's strange isn't it? Can pretty much get everything else :)

Some things are like that you thick they are so popular but no one seems to have them, also you can buy items that look good and when you get them they go straight in with your melt down scrap

That's so true Bob. It also makes me try new techniques out when what I can sometimes purchase is very poorly made.

Just in the last fortnight I purchased a box hinge, with the idea of having it rose gold plated, well when it arrived it was not up to my expectations so I am going to make it myself, some times
I think I should make it from the start and not worry about trying save a bit of time
