Hello - help with the Sterling Silver Sliding Ellipse Clasp 8mm/rubber insert

Hello I wonder if anyone has feedback on this item - I am looking to use but some of them have lost the rubber bit in the middle. Any advise really gratefully received.

I've not tried them - is there any possibility you could insert an O ring in the clasp?
Or alternatively give in and buy another one - the time cost of sorting it is probably higher than the unit cost.

I'd suggest that rubber clasps with chain rasping in them probably aren't destined for longevity.

Doomed to fail, but could petition Cookson to come up with a re-fillable one. Dennis.
