Hi all,

I have decided to make myself a new Kilt buckle, plan is to make the back from 1 mm brass and braze the the fittings on then solder 1 mm Argentium face on, approx. 100 mm x 65 mm originally I was going to sweat solder the pieces
however I will now just solder around the edge with easy solder.
Question is some one suggested that silver and brass will not be compatible, I think this is incorrect I think it will be fine although I am open to to be proved wrong.

Electrolytic corrosion is the only thing that springs to mind - not a particular issue for a kilt buckle though.
