This easy wire wrapping project uses a \u2018Gizmo\u2019 tool that is designed to make wire coils. The gizmo comes with a built-in table mounted base, five crank rods in different sizes and full instructions (999 CB9J<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Attach the gizmo to a stable work surface.<\/p>\n\n\n

Step 2<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Measure out 100cm of silver-plated wire 0.5mm or 24 gauge.<\/p>\n\n\n

Step 3<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wrap the end of the 0.5mm wire on the 2nd<\/sup> thinnest rod on the handle end. Thread the rod through the correct sized hole on the gizmo.<\/p>\n\n\n

Step 4<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wind the wire around the rod by turn the handle. Make sure you wind all the wire.<\/p>\n\n\n

Step 5<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Remove the rod from the gizmo, unwrap the wire end attached to the handle and pull the coiled wire off the rod. Trim the wire ends on the coil using side cutter pliers.<\/p>\n\n\n

Step 6<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cut a piece of 0.8mm or 20-gauge wire, approximately 12cm long. Thread the coiled wire onto this wire. Attach the thicker wire to the third thinnest rod by wrapping the end of the wire around the rod handle. Thread the rod through the correct sized holes on the gizmo. Wind the wire around the rod by turning the handle. Make sure you wind all the wire.<\/p>\n\n\n

Step 7<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Remove the rod from the gizmo, unwrap the wire end attached to the handle and pull the coiled wire off the rod. Trim the wire ends on the coil using side cutter pliers, leaving 1cm either side. Using chain nose pliers to grip the end of the wire and bend it back neatly into the coil. Repeat this on the other side.<\/p>\n\n\n

Step 8<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Repeat these stages to create a second wire coil.<\/p>\n\n\n

Step 9<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Take a head pin and thread the small bead, the large bead and then the coiled wire. Add another large bead and then another small bead so it is symmetrical either side. Repeat this process on the second coiled wire. <\/p>\n\n\n

Step 10<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Create a hoop at the end of the head pin using round nose pliers. Cut off the excess wire if needed with side cutters. Repeat this to create the second earring.<\/p>\n\n\n

Step 11<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To open the earrings hook wires, grip either side of the hoop with two pairs of flat or chain nose pliers and twist to open. Thread on the coiled wire and beads. To close the earring hook wires, grip either side of the hoop with two pairs of flat or chain nose pliers and twist to close.<\/p>\n\n\n
