This project requires two stages of soldering and is quick but intermediate jewellery making project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 1<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Take a silver heart and add a small amount of hard solder paste to one of the sides. You may need to hold the heart in tweezers. Place the heart on a soldering block.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1536\" height=\"2048\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cooksongold.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/IMG_4504.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-25618\" style=\"width:355px\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 2<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Take the next silver heart and apply a small amount of solder to one of the sides. Place this heart on the soldering block next to the previous heart. Place the side without solder paste on next to the side of the heart with solder paste and ensure they are touching.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1536\" height=\"2048\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cooksongold.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/IMG_4506.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-25619\" style=\"width:355px\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 3<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Repeat this process lining the hearts with the pointed part of each heart pointing into the middle up and forming a flower shape.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1536\" height=\"2048\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cooksongold.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/IMG_4511.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-25620\" style=\"width:355px\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 4<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gently rearrange any of the hearts so the flower shape they make looks even.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1536\" height=\"2048\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cooksongold.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/IMG_4512.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-25621\" style=\"width:355px\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 5<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Use a hand blow torch to heat the heart shapes up until the solder melts and flows.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1536\" height=\"2048\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cooksongold.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/IMG_4518.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-25622\" style=\"width:355px\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 6<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Quench (cool) the flower shape in water using tweezers and then add to a warm safety pickle solution for 10 minutes or until clean. Remove from the safety pickle using plastic tweezers.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1536\" height=\"2048\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cooksongold.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/IMG_4521.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-25623\" style=\"width:355px\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 7<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When clean and dry, place the flower shape back on the soldering block. Apply a small amount of medium\/easy solder paste to the middle petal points and place the silver bead cup in the middle of the flower. Ensure that the cup is in contact with the middle of the flower as well as the solder paste.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1536\" height=\"2048\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cooksongold.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/IMG_4527.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-25624\" style=\"width:355px\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 8<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Heat the flower shape gently and evenly using a hand blow torch until the solder paste melts and flows. Using tweezers, quench the flower in water and add to a warm safety pickle solution for 10 minutes or until clean. Remove from the safety pickle using plastic tweezers.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1536\" height=\"2048\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cooksongold.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/IMG_4532.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-25626\" style=\"width:355px\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 9<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Repeat this process to make a second flower.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1536\" height=\"2048\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cooksongold.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/IMG_4538.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-25627\" style=\"width:355px\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 10<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To add shine, rub gently with a silver polishing cloth.
