Peel off one side of the protective plastic strip. This will be side you are stamping on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 2:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Stay put.<\/strong><br>Place your blank on the block then use tape to secure the bangle as it needs to sit very flat on the block for successful stamping. Before stamping write your lettering in \u2018freehand\u2019 as a guide.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-medium is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cooksongold.com\/tblog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/2-18-300x182.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15115\" width=\"300\" height=\"182\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cooksongold.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/2-18-300x182.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.cooksongold.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/2-18.jpg 694w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Tip<\/strong> <strong>1<\/strong>: Make sure the stamps have the Impress Art logo facing towards you for correct orientation. If your stamps don\u2019t have this write the letter on each one, so that when it is facing you it is in the correct position to stamp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Tip 2: <\/strong>Keep a piece of blue-tac next to your work and just impress lightly into it before stamping to check the stamp\u2019s size and position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 3:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Printing<\/strong><br>Hold the stamp level against the blank and hit it firmly with the hammer once. Practise on some scrap metal before stamping your final piece so you can see how hard to hit the stamp, as smaller stamps impress more deeply than larger ones. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you double hit the hammer, you will end up with a blurred image. Also, don\u2019t place stamps too close to the edge of the metal as it will squash the edge.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-medium is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cooksongold.com\/tblog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/3-20-300x201.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15116\" width=\"300\" height=\"201\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cooksongold.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/3-20-300x201.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.cooksongold.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/3-20.jpg 423w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 4:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Fill the groove.<\/strong><br>Once you are happy with the stamping, use ImpressArt ink to fill the newly stamped grooves. Carefully apply the ink over each stamping. Leave for 10 \u2013 15 seconds (no longer than this as it dries quickly), rub the ink with a cotton bud to ensure that it has gone into the grooves of the stamping, and then wipe off with a soft cloth or tissue.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-medium is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cooksongold.com\/tblog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/4-12-300x153.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15117\" width=\"300\" height=\"153\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cooksongold.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/4-12-300x153.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.cooksongold.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/4-12.jpg 735w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 5:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Adding texture.<\/strong><br>Gently texture the edge of the bangle with a smooth flat headed hammer. Hold on to this whilst gently bending the metal around the curve.
