I use this stand all the time - I didnt have any problems in turns of stiffness. Mine revolves quite easily and freely. I use it with a soldering sheet on top so have no problems with its size. Perfect for a home workshop.

small and compact which is exactly what i needed for my limited space workshop, it was a little stiff when i first used it but that was easily sorted with wd40 and loosening the nut slightly, good product.

When the stand arrived it did not rotate very easily it took 2 hnds to turn and had a very gritty motion. Since then Ive had a friendly handy man have a look at it and now it spins a little better, but still not as smooth a motion as I would like. The surface area is a bit too small as reverse action tweezers do not fit on the surface to hold your work. However as a starting piece is does allow you to anneal and perform little jobs

This revolving stand is great. I have very disabled hands, and it means I can heat through the item to be annealedsoldered in a thoroughly even way with the minimum of effort.
