If you though that a solder pick was just a metal rod, then think again.I bought one of these and loved it, and then I lost it. So I bought another similar looking solder pick. Its was then that I realised the difference. The second cheaper pick was just steel and the tip quickly melted. I had to keep straightening the rod and sharpening it. Eventually I got so fed up with it I pulled my workshop apart and found my original pick this tungsten one. A quick sand and it was back in action again. It never bends and is always needle sharp. When I solder, I have the torch in one hand and this pick in the other. It is defiantly in my top 5 tools.
