This great little tool really is a godsend. Once you try it, you'll wonder how you ever lived without it. Unlike a doming block which curves the metal in all directions, this little swage block will curve the metal in just in one direction. Typically you need a matching bar to press downwards. I use either a large drill bit shank, or the straight side of a doming punch. It produces accurate, repeatable curves. Great for curving pendants or standardising link components for a chain.note to the small flat part, a mini bench block !
