I received the Dremel Versaflame as a replacement for the Proxxon torch and have to say that, for a torch of similar value, the Dremels build quality is far superior. It is extremely versatile, even without the extra 'add ons', having a very adjustable flame which is quite powerfull at the highest setting and really only needs to be set at quarter to half power when soldering small items such as jumprings. I would have purchased this torch in the first instance but it gave me the impression that it might have been a 'jack of all trades' this is absolutely not the case and I am delighted with it so far. I have yet to discover how reliable it is in the long term but having had experience of both Cooksons and Dremels excellent customer service I would have no hesitation in recommending it based on first impressions alone

I specifically bought this torch because it came with the soldering attachment For the make of this torch I was quite disappointed. It did not seem to have the open flame strength needed to do the job simple hoops. 3 days later I went back and bought the cheaper torch that we use in class and the job was done within 10 minutes.

Another good tool from the dremel range. Better value than a cheaper burnertorch in my opinion.

This hand torch from dremel is a real upgrade from the basic torch Ive been using the last year or so and well worth the price. The versflame also came complete with several accessories and full manuel which is ideal for people like myself. Excellent quality tool and good value
