I bought this in the hope that it would be a useful, good value tool to add to my collection. When I received it, it was practically falling apart and simply would not work. The threaded metal rod used to tighten the tool was just spinning in the wooden handle. Cookson replaced it promptly and I received a new one that was working as it should but after a few uses I decided to invest in the more expensive Italian made chenier cutter which I have to admit is much easier to use and gives much more consistent results. If youre looking for a cheap tool then this is OK but if you can spare the extra money, I would definitely recommend the more expensive chenier cutting.
