I used this for jewellery making as a hobby and after eleven months it broke so I sent it back for repair, but it immediately broke again. This happened a further two times and Proxon would not replace it or refund my postage. It broke a fourth time but was not worth more postage for faulty repairs. I was told by Proxon that I must have been using it for prolonged periods of time and it was only to be used for short periods of time.

Quality, well engineered piece of kit. Has wide range of variable speed and delivers full power in all of them. Drills, polishes and cuts rings off wire coils all day. fairly large for hand holding but gives impression it will run forever. Wouldnt be without it.

Every workshop should have one - or three This is so useful for a vast array of things drilling, sanding, polishing, texturing, the list goes on... I use mine all the time and would not be without it. Proxxons tools are great quality. And if you combine this with the drill stand you have a drill press or a polishing station
