Default Need help with a trilogy ring

    Hi Everyone,

I recentyl accepted a commission for a trilogy ring in 9ct gold it looked straight forward enough, however after attempting the ring in silver i relaised it wasnt as easy as i had hoped. I am planning on using gold tube for the bezel, what i cant figure out is how to solder the bezels togther. If anyone can provide some advice on how to contruct this ring i would really appreciate it.

    Thank you

You need to make the setting first, or buy one ready made. Then solder it onto the shank, or cut out some of the shank and insert it.

To make the setting from tapered collets, mark a ceramic soldering cone at the desired diameter and arrange the collets in an arc, using a few tiny drops of superglue and then binding wire to hold them in place.

Keep the glue clear of the soldering points and ensure some gaps for setting the stones.
