I've bought the ringed type, heated until the ring came off and then used them (you could solder an attachment to the back of the letter then).
that sounds faffy Lydia!! I just cut them from sheet
Looking at the example, I'm not convinced they sit very well - they're inevitably going to tip forward regardless of where the loop on the back is positioned. Unless they were double looped and double strung I suppose.
Not s'much. I needed a couple for something quick for my daughter (Ineeditnow!) Cut two of each out and make a channel for the chain before soldering together?
I did find these on Etsy, so there are probably more. Dennis.

Hi there!
I've posted before regarding these but I can't find the thread!
I've searched high and low after realising I want them in sterling silver, I can't find them anywhere. Is it possible to make these? (Total newbie by the way!)
I'm worried about buying silver plated if there is the possibility they will tarnish/leave marks?
Thank you and sorry if it's an annoying newbie question!
They could be pierced out, which would be a good exercise in using a piercing saw. Or they could be carved from wax and cast, or done in CAD, printed or milled and cast. First two require minimal tool outlay...
