    Default Hello!

Hi! I have just started metal working for myself but am still very much new to the hobby. I have not yet invested in buying any of the fantastic looking tools I see when browsing Cookson's amazing catalogue, so I'm using whatever tools and materials I have at hand in the garage.
I would welcome any ideas to help me get the creative juices flowing.

    Thanks
    Tracy

Draw some designs and learn to use a piercing saw, a saw frame some blades and a bench pin is a good start to your tool collection. This would be a nice starters tool kit;http://www.cooksongold.com/Jewellery...rcode-997-1003

Hello and welcome to the forum. A file of about 4 grade, and a hammer is also useful and of course a soldering block and a torch of some description, and of course solder. My daughter who also makes silver jewellery uses a cooks torch still and gets on fine. I suppose it depends on what you are making, her stuff is quite fine.
