No, don't know Paul Mason but most of my work has been in Picardie in France over the last 10 yrs for a local Chateau. My friend and mentor in the UK is Ernie Michael in Epping.

Both great pieces. As for where and how to progress.. it's all about what inspires you, your imagination and what you'd like to learn really.

At least I am now allowed to use a bit of silver! This is turning out to be great fun, learning to dome, texture, use different melting point silver solder etc. I am looking forward to being able to go regularly to "File and Forge" once I have moved back to the UK. But it is fun to just take an hour or so and play about doing a bit of homework as a lot of my tools in horology are interchangeable. I have only had to buy a mandrel so far and oh yes, a bench peg.
