Hello! I just joined after finding this forum a couple of days ago.
I'm in Ontario (Canada). and have taken up a new hobby.

I'm hoping to get lots of tips and information and how-to's here, from all of you MUCH more experienced (and creative) people.

I've set up a tiny spot in my apt, with a few hand tools, and a propane torch. I have some sterling in sheet and wire.
and am learning about soldering.

so far, I've done a couple of very simple silver rings.

So, now, Im off to read and learn.

I'm busy reading everything right now. SO much to absorb. I feel like its Christmas and the first day of school where you meet all sorts of new friends.

between here and my knitting forum, I hope to be very busy. (yes, I admit it. I knit. but not with wire. its too hard on my hands.) although you can buy this really amazing stainless steel "wool" that Im hoping to try one day, when I've save up my pennies.

and I intend to inflict lots of photos on all of you. so be warned.
