The first two I did were both in Arizona Desert Ironwood, the black one is African Blackwood. Both absolutely stunning woods when polished, obviously you can see a lot more in his full size versions, but even in miniature the grain comes through and looks great I won't post a link as I think thats a bit cheeky and not sure im allowed, but if anyone wants to have a look at the full size versions just google mark hill knives
