I got these Peter http://www.3ddisplays.co.uk/display_cubes.htm and the blocks and slabs are lovely and reflective http://www.3ddisplays.co.uk/displays...cks-blocks.htm http://www.3ddisplays.co.uk/displays...ocks-slabs.htm. It was a bit of an outlay but it's all done for you apart from building the cubes. Remember to buy enough fittings as there is a minimum postal rate if you don't !!They have everything you might need in the way of display.
For a cabinet the £40 Ikea one is the one used by most galleries and at that price is a bit of a no brainer and you can fit your own lock if necessary http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/10119206/

I use Exquisite Displays on Ebay. Good prices, quality and excellent delivery. Not sure what they offer in acrylic but I'm sure I've seen a few pieces on there.

Those are the cubes I use. They're a bit of a pain to put together each time so I keep them made up and transport them as they are - at least I used to. I shall be making them up this year.

Carin, the only 2 I'm doing are Royal Cornwall and Made in Cornwall. I think I'll knock everything on the head next year as like you, online sales are keeping me busy.

    Hi Peter,
I've always ended up going back to these people. http://www.pennant.co.uk/buy-16-Pede...26+Risers.html
The acrylic is excellent quality and I've lugged my displays around numerous shows without them looking battered after a few outings which seems to happen to the cheaper stuff that I've used!

Fantastic, thank you for all the suggestions. Definitely cuts a lot of the chaff out - and I've nothing against butterflies, but it's not my style!

The Ikea cabinets are so cheap as to be a no-brainer. In ACJ Wessex we use them with Purlfrost on the back, lighting, locks and a false base (so we can hide packaging). I'm keen to get the other members to switch to LED; at the last exhibition there was a mix of halogen & LED; the cooler colour temperature of the halogens made the displays look dingy by comparison. I've swapped out all my bi-pin halogens for drop-in LED replacements now (3 x 20W, now 3 x 2.8W, runs cooler in the cabinet too), bought from http://www.simplyled.co.uk - no connection, just pleased with the products. If you do use them, they seem to run discounts fairly often so it's probably worth waiting for one.

I've also just replaced a load of CFL bulbs with LEDs; as an example, I replaced a 15W CFL with a 4.8W LED that puts out more light; no warm-up delays or anything. I think domestic LED lighting seems to have *finally* come of age.
