    Default Clasp Making Tutorial

    Morning all,

Does anyone on the forum know of any good on-line clasp making tutorials? I want to make one for my latest piece but I've only ever made two and thay were from pmc. I'd like to get an idea about what is possible with just wire or wire and simple soldering.

    Thanks
    Annie xXx

One of the ladies posted a piece she'd made lately (sorry, can't remember who) and said she made the toggle from a tutorial one of the maille sites - I printed a photo of the toggle in the tut as a variation of it would work with something I have in progress.

Ah, found it, it showed up as a visited link in Google:

There are also quite a lot of S-hook clasp variants (I really like these - easy to do up and take off, but also very secure!). I think this is one I watched: S-hook clasp with hammered ends. You can do it with or without the hammering. I just find it handy to have a picture to look at when I make them so I bend things the right way

This one: Katklause's hook clasp tutorial looks pretty good too - lots of pictures of the stages.
