    Default Fragile labradorite possibly

I’m setting a 4.5 cm oblong labradorite cabochon. It seemed like a good idea as it’s a beauty with the pattern running it’s full length , a lot of them I’m guessing making it really fragile as a chip came off the underside edge To try and keep that from happening further I’ve filled in some araldite, probably wrongly. It has a slight rock so would it be unheard of to glue it in to stabilise the stone and then set it hoping it doesn’t shatter if I do it carefully or will it make it worse?
I’ve done bigger than this before but the line on this one are all running the same direction if you get me.
None of this is going particularly well for me and I have 21/2 weeks until Open Studios

I’ve got rid of the rock now but would there be a benefit to glue. It’s like a swear word to be but maybe needs must!

I agree it is a swear word, but on occasion I have resorted to glue.
