Is Jim Jen at the weekend?
In a suitably Wintery style, the heater in my otherwise unheated studio died this morning, so was truly frosty.
This is an oxidised silver ring made from a nice chunk of quartz. I wanted it to be very spare and cold looking, given how icy the quartz looks. In retrospect I would probably add more claws if doing again. The claws are supposed to have wiggle in them, I might have overestimated how much wiggle I can get into short pieces of 2mm wire!
Frozen hands maker's own ;-)
I really like that ring Lydia as its reminds me of a chunk of ice.. a concept that I'm certain wasnt lost on you when you made it. Great work!

That's super Lydia - I don't think you could have possibly found a more ice-like stone.

We loved the ice-like qualities of the stone used in the piece and the contrast against the oxidised silver, making it a perfect fit for the Winter theme - congratulations!

Congratulations again!

Congratulations, Lydia. A true studio piece. Dennis.
Yay! thank you folks - lovely surprise (and it's my birthday on Friday, so doubly nice!). I have a lovely opal sitting on my bench so this is the perfect excuse to do something good with it!
