And now here is my entry, it couldn't be more different from the previous, oh so delicate, one!

A commissioned piece using the clients sentimental gold, which was remodelled to make this very heavy solid gold cross, with remembrance poppies on the top. It measures approx 10cm long and weighs 32 grams. The cross is not hollow in the back and it was made by hand, some very heavy duty sawing went on to get this right! The little poppies are about 6mm long and were pierced from sheet, each tiny bobble inside being melted and then soldered on one at a time.

I thoroughly enjoyed having the opportunity to work with such a large amount of gold :-)

I followed the making of this Carole and thought how lucky the family was to have found you. Dennis.

You and me both. There are some very talented people on this site, I am in awe of most of them. Your wire work is wonderful too, so time consuming I should think, need a lot of patience. Are you in the UK or further afield.
