    Default Sour Grapes?

My encounter with filigree during the autumn, convinced me that I would never become proficient at making those little whorls from twisted wire. So I have decided to settle for just the petal shaped outlines, which are easy enough to make from rolled down wire using looping pliers.

And anyhow, this look is much more modern… well, that’s my story anyhow. So here is my necklace in demi-filigree, with its tube set rhodolite garnets and home made findings.

The adjustment chain, ends in a little charm with back to back stones and the hook is made from triangular wire- one of the joys of drawing your own.

Then, just in case all this is all too pretty- pretty , some funky ear studs to go with it. Dennis.

    Beautiful, Dennis!

I really like the way the clasp has a matching stone set into it - it really finishes off the necklace. I have so many clasp designs in my head that I want to try out, but I always end up running out of time and just sticking a caribiner on the end!
