If I am correct the actual shank looks hollow on the photos, which will make the re-soldering tricky.

Thompson have recently had a fire in their workshop so possibly they are still off line. I have had enamels from Enamel Supply in Denmark in the past, good and efficient.

Black rhodium plating will give you a more consistent and darker black than obtained with patina.

If the item is precious metal, rather than solder I think I would advise laser welding; less heat involved, less risk of further damage, easier to clean up after but a specialist could provide better...

Have you tried making these with a slightly rounded corner instead of the sharp 90 degrees? I think I remember reading years ago that enamel does not like...
If you are on the shorter side like me and you have a specific location to work with I would suggest having the bespoke one made. Think about your chair height, your sitting position and good posture...
If you have any powder rouge Sheen, mix it to a paste with water and paint it on the previous joints, the fat will prevent the solder from re-flowing.
