im going to stick my neck on the line.looks to me like a moss agate.could do with a photo of the rear view.most certainly say agate rather then jasper.

If you want to cut/grind down marbles you will want diamond disks of various grades with running water to keep the disks cool,clean and to keep the glass dust down.also need some thing to polish the...

thats me.I have cut marbles in the past.i do mostly semi precious cabochons now.but will always do marbles if asked for them.
plain and simple bezels is all i normally do with them.Let them speak for themselves.On a short chain or 2mm solid wire chocker.

Red iron stone. I think the grey is heamatite.
This is a large stone at 53mm x 19mm x4mm.
need to go to one of these shows to see what rough rock is available
I finally get to see another one of my half marbles set.

A road trip upto ayr from here might be a bit to far...but if anyone does go and find any stones,I could do with a piece.
Those are great.nice bright colours for this dull time of year.
I have had the nerves to before a fair.
But to be honest for me its part of the buzz.
I find it eases off once you get that first sell out of the way.

This is a crinoid marble stone.
Its rather large and is cut slightly different to how i normally do them.
the long sides are rounded off smooth while the top angles are cut flat like a facet....
here here.
Could it be from a Bombay sapphire bottle????hehe
