Micromesh is used in industry (aeronautics) for polishing perspex canopies, it is an abrasive crystal bonded to a fabric, the bonding aent is slightly rubberised and the crystals rock, therefore the cloth can be cleaned with water or there is a polishing fluid in the kit to use, there are two types, cushioned (MX) and non cushioned, the non cushioned goes to 12000 grit I think it is one tenth of one thou, and will polish scratches from aircraft canopies, the cushioned stuff is not so good, the cloth is very resilient and will last a fare while, the kits are quite good but by the roll is better, sorry to say post RAF service have'nt a scooby where to get it from by te roll but highly recomend it, especially for platignum.
