I was trying to think of a fitting theme for October and due to the fact it is the month of All Hallows Eve/ Halloween I thought it would be good to have a gothicy, dark and myterious theme running throughout this month.

Pretty open, so use your imagination!

Good Luck everyone! The competition will close on the 31st October...SPOOKY :) The winner will received a 2lb Metal Barrelling Unit!

In order to give everyone an even chance, the previous winners of each month are more than welcome to post their designs, but they will not be entered into the judging process for two months (that's two theme competitions) in order to give everyone the chance of winning. After that, they may resume entering as normal and will be included in the competition.

Terms & conditions

No purchase necessary. The closing date for the competition will be 31.10.2011. The winner will receive a 2lb metal barrelling unit. This must be in one transaction. The judging process will take place on 01.11.2011. Cookson Precious Metals Jewellery Specialists will make the decision.

The competition is open to all Cookson Precious Metals customers who are UK residents and aged 18 years and over.

Only one entry per person.

There is no cash alternative. Cookson Precious Metals reserves the right to change the prize for one of equivalent value.

The winner will be notified on the forum within this thread by 03.11.2011. The winner's name and county will be available by sending a stamped addressed envelope to: The Competition Secretary, Marketing Department Cookson Precious Metals, 59-83 Vittoria Street. Birmingham B1 3NZ.

Employees of Cookson Precious Metals, their agents and families are excluded from the competition together with any person connected to the competition.

Entry into the competition is deemed as acceptance of the rules. The winner agrees to participate in any publicity in connection with the competition.

To enter the the competition, simply publish your design/comment within this thread.

No correspondence will be entered into. The judging panel decision is final. The promoter is Cookson Precious Metals

Sounds good, Little Gem.

Perhaps you need to revise the terms and conditions of this one (unless the prize is £100 of goods AND a barrelling unit??)

Wish I had time to make something but there's little chance. I'll look forward to seeing everyone else's entries.

Living in Stratford upon Avon I thoroughly appreciated the reference to The Bard!! :)

Are people finding this theme more difficult? I'm totally stumped and so stunned by the Wytch I doubt anything could compete!

Some people are just too nice for this month's theme. All you have to do is to make something horrible.

Both are lovely. The cat in the brooch reminds me of my cat! Good luck with this month everyone.

I have made a few things for my 'Goth' daughter, but she seems to have mislaid them all :-O

Here's my effort, Incy Wincy - a silver ring set with an enourmous purple CZ, Murano glass head and eight white CZ eyes.

There's more pics of him here (http://spinysharklythings.com/2011/10/21/incy-wincy-spider/) on my blog :-D

Or in the event of (witchly) power failure, a useful addition to a punch in the gob :-D

Well done, Elaine - a wonderful pendant :D I love the detail...spooktacular!! What kind of bail did you use (on the back?) as it's not obvious to me :D

I completely forgot about this month's competition but will maybe have a go at the next if time allows! (Shouldn't the closing date for this month's competition have been today?)
