What thickness of silver for a cuff?

I would like to make a silver cuff approx 5 cm wide. The cuff will be a C shape (not a complete circle)- and will have lots of holes pieced in it for the design.

Could someone suggest how thick the silver should be for this kind of piece please?

I would like it to be fairly chunky- but not so much that the piercing work becomes difficult

for that width and if you are piercing a lot i would suggest between 1.00mm and 1.5mm
