Pliers - (Round nose = 2 x Round ends).
For the most part all pliers have plastic coated handles
for comfort and grip, while the larger, heavier duty
"maun" have metal handles.
For jewellery purposes the jaws are usually smooth & not
serrated-this helps to prevent the metal from being
marked.
The majority of pliers operate with a scissors action
with the exception of maun which operate with a parallel
action, i.e. both jaws parallel to one another.
ROUND PLIERS...The cross section of both jaw ends is
round which tapers towards the end.
