These steel punches are straight and the majority have
shaped, smooth ends. Used in repousse or chasing work
with the repousse hammer, the punch is repetitively
struck while it is gradually moved around the design,
forming lower areas. The result gives a 3-dimensional
form to the metal surface.
Also needed for this technique are the pitch bowl with
pitch & pitch bowl support.
