Delivery methods We use fast and cost effective methods to ensure efficient and safe delivery of your order. We constantly review our carriers, and our delivery rates to ensure we offer a great delivery service at a competitive price.
All our items are despatched by a network of carriers including amongst others, Royal Mail and DHL.
We will do our best to despatch your order the same day, we are currently despatching 97% of all orders same day.
If you want to track your parcel, please use the tracking reference from your E-despatch notification that has been emailed to you. Please note that our trackable services are Royal Mail Special Delivery, TNT, FedEx and DHL. Parcels that are sent First Class Post and Recorded Delivery cannot be tracked. How do I return items? Please complete the returns form here following the simple procedure.
If you are returning an item and you request for another product, then please be aware that a credit will be raised on the returned product. A new order will then be raised for the new product. If you pay for your orders using a credit or debit card, then we will contact you for payment.

Goods returned for credit that were correctly supplied, or cut to your requirements i.e. sheet, wire, chain, etc, may be subject to a handling charge.

Cooksongold Returns Policy At Cookson Gold, we are committed to selling high-quality products that we hope you enjoy using and working with, but we also know that for one reason or another there may be a time where you will need to return or exchange something that you have bought from us. What we recommend you to do initially when receiving your goods is to check them carefully before using them.

Returned goods will be credited if returned in their original condition, and with a completed Returns Form. For special order items, such as bespoke cut bullion, please see below.
Goods accepted for return will be credited at the price on the date of invoice.
We will only refund return postage for goods not required if returned in less than 30 days. If the prepaid postage option is used and the return is over 30 days, we will deduct the cost from your refund. If you are returning an item due to a fault of ours, we will always refund postage charges but would ask that we choose the postage method.
If you request a refund, this will be normally processed within one working week.
Exchanging an item If you are returning an item within 30 days and would like an exchange, then please be aware that a credit will be raised on the returned item. A new order will then be raised for the new product. If you pay for your orders using a credit or debit card, then we will contact you for payment. If you request an exchange, as the item was received faulty, then this is normally processed within one working week.

Cancelling an order within 30 days
You may cancel stocked orders by giving us notice of cancellation within 30 days of the date of ordering, for manufactured orders please contact us. Such notice may be given by mail, fax or email (all contact details can be found at the bottom of this page). If you are cancelling because of a problem with the goods, please notify us of the problem at the time of cancellation by calling us on 0345 100 1122.
Special order items
We regret to advise that some special order items including some cut bullion will not be accepted for return. Please call us on 0345 100 1122 to discuss this further.
Item sent incorrectly
If items have been sent incorrectly, please can you contact our customer service team on either
0345 100 1122 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will then advise on the next step to take and endeavour for the correct item to be dispatched the same day you notify us.
Item is faulty or has developed a fault For items that have been received faulty/ developed a fault, in the first instance, please can you contact our customer service team on either 0345 100 1122 or email email@example.com. We will then advise the next steps you need to take. This will depend on the item and when this was purchased as it may have to go back to our supplier for testing.
Return of items more than 30 days old If you want to return items that were bought more than 30 days ago, we may still accept the item but there may be an administrative charge and exclusions do apply, e.g. if the bullion has been cut to some requirements. It is a great torch! Accept.. The flint has broken already on this one just like it did on my last one. I have bought this torch before but my last one broke pretty dramatically. The safety/off switch broke while I was using it, the flame was a foot long and wouldn't turn off. I had to run out of the workshop and let it burn out the rest off the gas, luckily nothing got damaged but I really hope this doesn't do that again!

This is the second time I have purchased this item, the first time was in March this year, the torch lasted 5 months and then the ignition went. The reason I have ordered another one the same is up to it dying it was good piece of kit was desperate to get some items of jewelry soldered and finished asap so needed one for the next day. Hopefully this one will last longer!

I bought this because I needed a larger flame than the micro torch and didn't have enough space in my studio for a bigger torch at the moment. The flame is the perfect size for my needs and is comfortable to use and handle, my only problem is I haven't been using it long and I've found that 9 times out of 10 it doesn't ignite, and I have to try multiple times to get it to work. I don't know if this is true for all of the Max Flame Torches or just the one I have, as I bought because of all the positive reviews. Having said this, it still works, but I won't be buying another when this one finally gives up.

Don't know if it's just me, but I bought this model because I couldn't afford a better make. Wrong! Always save and buy the best you can afford. I've only had mine a few months and used it less than a dozen times and now it won't fill gas pools in the inverted base, the switchgear is flimsy and temperamental doesn't light first time, ever, and the whole thing feels cheap and nasty. The switches are awkward - you need at least two hands to light the thing! The principle of the larger torch is excellent and just what I wanted, but I'm very disappointed in this model as it was not cheap. Just wish I'd saved an extra 20 and bought a Seivert from another supplier.Looks like I'll be cutting my losses and binning it - but its a hard, and expensive, lessen learnt. Never again!

One of the best purchases I have made. This hand torch is so easy to use that I worked it out without instructions as I somehow managed to misplace them!. I initially thought it would be quite awkward to use as the body looks fairly chunky but it is surprisingly comfortable to hold. The flame adjusting switch is fantastic, giving me full control and the flame can be gentle enough for tiny details but also powerful enough for larger soldering jobs.No regrets with this purchase, it's highly recommended.

Just dipping my toe into some jewellery crafting and this torch is perfect for me - well built, nice hot flame and feels good in the hand. I was using a chef torch before its demise and i'm so glad I upgraded as this is so much better. As usual great service from Cookson.

Purchased to use whilst my silver work course is on hiatus and was concerned it would not measure up to a "proper" propane system. It certainly does the trick for all small even tiny jump rings and medium applications. The Max Flame is easy to use and gets the job done quickly. Very happy with it.
