Made from steel, the grain tool is about 60mm in length,
at the end of which is a polished concave hemisphere.
Used with a Ball Shaped Handle (999 ALL - ALP) or the
Universal Handle (999 AZM) it is employed when grain
setting - grains from the metal's surface are lifted
(with a Scorper (999 CDL & AYA - AZJ)) and then rounded
with the grain tool over the stone - size of the tool
should relate to that of the grain!
20 sizes available: Smallest tool Size 1 = 0.30mm
Largest tool Size 20 = 1.25mm
Also available in a Set of 12 (Sizes 5=0.5mm - 16=1.05mm
with handle see 999 AIR.
Sharpened with a 'FION' see 999 AIS.
