Delivery methods We use fast and cost effective methods to ensure efficient and safe delivery of your order. We constantly review our carriers, and our delivery rates to ensure we offer a great delivery service at a competitive price.

All our items are despatched by a network of carriers including amongst others, Royal Mail and DHL.

We will do our best to despatch your order the same day, we are currently despatching 97% of all orders same day.

If you want to track your parcel, please use the tracking reference from your E-despatch notification that has been emailed to you. Please note that our trackable services are Royal Mail Special Delivery, TNT, FedEx and DHL. Parcels that are sent First Class Post and Recorded Delivery cannot be tracked. How we calculate our postage costs The postage charge will vary depending on the weight & value of your goods, our online shopping basket always clearly displays the relevant postage options and postage costs for your basket.

  • First class post- start from £3.25
  • Recorded delivery- start from £4.25
  • Next day delivery- cheapest starts from £8.55
  • Hazardous goods- starts from £9.35

*Please note that these prices are too used as a guide only and may vary due to the weight and value of your parcel.

Do you accept International Orders ? Cooksongold welcomes orders from all over the world, and currently deals with customers in over 50 countries.

International postage prices vary depending on the weight and value of your goods, our online shopping basket always clearly displays the relevant postage options and postage costs for your basket.

If you are looking to order hazardous goods, please note that some carriers will not take these. If you want to purchase hazardous goods, please email your query to We will then be able to advise if this item can be sent to your country.

Any customs or import duties are charged once the order reaches it's destination country and must be paid by the recipient of the order. We have no control over these charges, take no responsibility for them and cannot predict what they may be.

Customers policies vary widely from country to country, it may be passed on to an internal postal service, according to standard delivery procedures

Can I order on-line and collect from our counters ? You can now click & collect from our Birmingham Jewellery Quarter counter or our Hatton Garden Counter.

  • As you checkout simply select COLLECT in the delivery method box.
  • On the subsequent screens, you will be asked to select which counter you want to collect from and a pick up time.
  • The collection time is 2 hours from ordering if you are collecting from Hatton Garden or 1 hour collect time from Birmingham.

How do I return items? Please complete the returns form here following the simple procedure.

If you are returning an item and you request for another product, then please be aware that a credit will be raised on the returned product. A new order will then be raised for the new product. If you pay for your orders using a credit or debit card, then we will contact you for payment.

Returned goods will be credited at the price on the date of invoice if returned in their original condition, with a completed returns form

Goods returned for credit that were correctly supplied, or cut to your requirements i.e. sheet, wire, chain, etc, may be subject to a handling charge.

Sorry, but we are unable to cover the cost of return postage except where items are faulty or have been sent in error.

Part orders Our on-line shop will highlight any out of stock items / part orders and provide you with three options. Simply choose one of these options as you checkout. The options are as follows:

  • 1. I want my items quickly, please deliver all available stock items now, and send the remainder when available (at an additional postage cost.)*
  • 2. Please group my items together and deliver all items on a nominate date (when all items are in stock)
  • 3. Deliver all available stock, but forget about the balance/out of stock items.

* Please be aware that any items left on back order will be subject to an additional postage cost.

Returns Policy

Cooksongold Returns Policy At Cookson Gold, we are committed to selling high-quality products that we hope you enjoy using and working with, but we also know that for one reason or another there may be a time where you will need to return or exchange something that you have bought from us. What we recommend you to do initially when receiving your goods is to check them carefully before using them.

Returned goods will be credited if returned in their original condition, and with a completed Returns Form. For special order items, such as bespoke cut bullion, please see below.

Goods accepted for return will be credited at the price on the date of invoice.

We will only refund return postage for goods not required if returned in less than 30 days. If the prepaid postage option is used and the return is over 30 days, we will deduct the cost from your refund. If you are returning an item due to a fault of ours, we will always refund postage charges but would ask that we choose the postage method.

If you request a refund, this will be normally processed within one working week.

Exchanging an item If you are returning an item within 30 days and would like an exchange, then please be aware that a credit will be raised on the returned item. A new order will then be raised for the new product. If you pay for your orders using a credit or debit card, then we will contact you for payment. If you request an exchange, as the item was received faulty, then this is normally processed within one working week.

Cancelling an order within 30 days You may cancel stocked orders by giving us notice of cancellation within 30 days of the date of ordering, for manufactured orders please contact us. Such notice may be given by mail, fax or email (all contact details can be found at the bottom of this page). If you are cancelling because of a problem with the goods, please notify us of the problem at the time of cancellation by calling us on 0345 100 1122.

Special order items

We regret to advise that some special order items including some cut bullion will not be accepted for return. Please call us on 0345 100 1122 to discuss this further.

Item sent incorrectly If items have been sent incorrectly, please can you contact our customer service team on either
0345 100 1122 or email at We will then advise on the next step to take and endeavour for the correct item to be dispatched the same day you notify us.

Item is faulty or has developed a fault For items that have been received faulty/ developed a fault, in the first instance, please can you contact our customer service team on either 0345 100 1122 or email We will then advise the next steps you need to take. This will depend on the item and when this was purchased as it may have to go back to our supplier for testing.

Return of items more than 30 days old If you want to return items that were bought more than 30 days ago, we may still accept the item but there may be an administrative charge and exclusions do apply, e.g. if the bullion has been cut to some requirements. Durston Rolling Mill C130 Combination Jewellers Rolling Mill Roller Size : 130 x 60mm Sheet thickness : 7mm Sheet width : 80mm Wire Capacity : 8 - 1mm No of wire grooves : 11 Gear ratio : 5-1 Extension rollers : 4 'D' shape grooves 4,3,2 & 1.5mm Total size of Mill (without handle) : 410x220x365mm Nett weight : 46kg Used to reduce the gauge , or change the shape of metal. The change of shape will be dependant upon the shape of the grooves in the rollers. Both flat plate & rollers are used to reduce the gauge in a gradual process. Metal should be annealed between each stage of rolling. The distance between the rollers is reduced and enlarged by turning a wheel on top of the mill. On the wheel is a digital gauge for pricise rolling gap measurement. The rollers are made of high quality steel. Rollers should be kept clean and mark free - marks on the roller will be transfered to the metal surface as it is rolled through the plates. This is a wonderful piece of equipment. Obviously because of the investment required I did take my time to decide on what model etc. Having chosen the C130 I am absolutely 100% satisfied. Everyone I spoke to said that Durston are the best, and I have to agree, this machine will last me for my lifetime, I have no doubt and save me a lot of money in the process.I would be more than happy to recommend this machine to any serious amateur or Professional.
