Delivery methods We use fast and cost effective methods to ensure efficient and safe delivery of your order. We constantly review our carriers, and our delivery rates to ensure we offer a great delivery service at a competitive price.
All our items are despatched by a network of carriers including amongst others, Royal Mail and DHL.
We will do our best to despatch your order the same day, we are currently despatching 97% of all orders same day.
If you want to track your parcel, please use the tracking reference from your E-despatch notification that has been emailed to you. Please note that our trackable services are Royal Mail Special Delivery, TNT, FedEx and DHL. Parcels that are sent First Class Post and Recorded Delivery cannot be tracked. Do you accept International Orders ? Cooksongold welcomes orders from all over the world, and currently deals with customers in over 50 countries.

If you are looking to order hazardous goods, please note that some carriers will not take these. If you want to purchase hazardous goods, please email your query to email@example.com. We will then be able to advise if this item can be sent to your country.
Any customs or import duties are charged once the order reaches it's destination country and must be paid by the recipient of the order. We have no control over these charges, take no responsibility for them and cannot predict what they may be.

How do I return items? Please complete the returns form here following the simple procedure.
If you are returning an item and you request for another product, then please be aware that a credit will be raised on the returned product. A new order will then be raised for the new product. If you pay for your orders using a credit or debit card, then we will contact you for payment.

Goods returned for credit that were correctly supplied, or cut to your requirements i.e. sheet, wire, chain, etc, may be subject to a handling charge.
Sorry, but we are unable to cover the cost of return postage except where items are faulty or have been sent in error.

Cooksongold Returns Policy At Cookson Gold, we are committed to selling high-quality products that we hope you enjoy using and working with, but we also know that for one reason or another there may be a time where you will need to return or exchange something that you have bought from us. What we recommend you to do initially when receiving your goods is to check them carefully before using them.

Returned goods will be credited if returned in their original condition, and with a completed Returns Form. For special order items, such as bespoke cut bullion, please see below.
Goods accepted for return will be credited at the price on the date of invoice.
We will only refund return postage for goods not required if returned in less than 30 days. If the prepaid postage option is used and the return is over 30 days, we will deduct the cost from your refund. If you are returning an item due to a fault of ours, we will always refund postage charges but would ask that we choose the postage method.
If you request a refund, this will be normally processed within one working week.
Exchanging an item If you are returning an item within 30 days and would like an exchange, then please be aware that a credit will be raised on the returned item. A new order will then be raised for the new product. If you pay for your orders using a credit or debit card, then we will contact you for payment. If you request an exchange, as the item was received faulty, then this is normally processed within one working week.

Cancelling an order within 30 days
You may cancel stocked orders by giving us notice of cancellation within 30 days of the date of ordering, for manufactured orders please contact us. Such notice may be given by mail, fax or email (all contact details can be found at the bottom of this page). If you are cancelling because of a problem with the goods, please notify us of the problem at the time of cancellation by calling us on 0345 100 1122.
Special order items
We regret to advise that some special order items including some cut bullion will not be accepted for return. Please call us on 0345 100 1122 to discuss this further.
Item sent incorrectly
If items have been sent incorrectly, please can you contact our customer service team on either
0345 100 1122 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will then advise on the next step to take and endeavour for the correct item to be dispatched the same day you notify us.
Item is faulty or has developed a fault For items that have been received faulty/ developed a fault, in the first instance, please can you contact our customer service team on either 0345 100 1122 or email email@example.com. We will then advise the next steps you need to take. This will depend on the item and when this was purchased as it may have to go back to our supplier for testing.
Return of items more than 30 days old If you want to return items that were bought more than 30 days ago, we may still accept the item but there may be an administrative charge and exclusions do apply, e.g. if the bullion has been cut to some requirements. I didn't buy my Durston DapDome set from Cookson because to be honest I didn't think to look here first... oops! However I'll review it anyway. Quite simply, you get what you pay for & that definitely applies to this wonderful last-for-a-lifetime set. Like a previous review, I bought cheap first time around & ended up with an Indian made set that was so badly made it was actually laughable. I decided to splash out on the Durston & was immediately impressed when I unpacked it. The surface finish, especially on the doming block is remarkable my wife calls it the Borg cube, it 's literally mirror polished in every cup... just don't drop it on your toes! The tooling is perfection & has given beautiful results on every piece I've made so far... minimal effort to produce consistent results & minimal finishing required due to the exceptionally high polish of the domes. Buy this set, & you have everything covered. Highly recommended! I'm after the disc cutter set next & WILL be getting it through Cookies. D

Having seen the other review I was a little hesitant however when it arrived and I started using it I was pleasantly surprised. I was pleased with the results and my tutor was impressed with the designs I created using the punches. It has a good range of diameters too

The one I received is really quite poor. The finish on the punches is mostly fair, but the larger punches have profound seams around the equators. The dapping block is especially poor with almost all of the holes showing visible marks and coarse machining and many of them barely polished at all. Not good value.

Therefore, since reading your comments, we have contacted our supplier reiterating the problems you have observed in order for them to review the product as the quality of products are of upmost importance to us and our suppliers. Durston is one of our most highly regarded brands that we stock and it is unusual that we experience many issues with quality therefore believe this to be an anomaly which both ourselves and Durston would be happy to rectify. However, they have ensured us that will not happen again due to their improved Quality Control and Assurance checks.

I am not a professional silversmith, but recently purchased this doming set to use at home. It is an impressive piece of kit, beautifully engineered and a great tool for shaping metal to high standards of quality and finish. The standcarrying tray keeps it all together and if you are feeling very strong makes it easy to move about. Fantastic quality, worth paying the extra money for - Im sure that, treated properly, it will last for several lifetimes.
