Bearing cutter burr - 1.8mm diameter.
Made from steel. Used in conjunction with a pendant
drill, hobby drill or micromotor to cut or grind away,
shape or give pattern to a surface (usually metal).
Each burr construction is of a number of teeth/blades
(in a given shape) mounted onto a shank (usually 3/32).
The shank fits into the collet/chuck of the drill, and
when turned removes the surface being worked upon.
Quantity of material removed depends on pressure applied
Use of 'Burr Life lubricant'(998 021) helps prolong the
burrs cutting ability.

Rating 5 out of 5 Invaluable for inlaying, 16 May 2008
By Susan Brand
I used one of these to define and undercut the edge of a carved recess in hard wood so I could inlay a silver mouse to decorate a cheese knife handle. It worked so well I used the same burr to inlay 3 more silver mice into the cheese board. After four hours constant high speed use the burr is still in good condition.
