Also known as the 'Bench Pin'.
Made from wood the peg is wedge shaped and has both a
horizontal and slanted surface.
The slanted surface is uppermost when the peg is set
securely into the centre of the semi-circle of the bench
To prepare the peg an upsidedown 'V' should be cut from
the centre third extending about a third of the way back
- this produces a good support either side of the metal
when piercing.
NB.Not suitable for the 'Bench Peg & Anvil' unless cut
to size.
