The Bench Peg and Anvil set comprises of an anvil
made from metal, and a wooden bench peg. The ideal
tool for those who don't have a Jewellers Bench.
The Peg is secured to the bench with a G Clamp,
with the 'slanted' surface uppermost.
The top of the clamp has a flat smooth surface which
is used as the Anvil - hence 'Bench Peg & Anvil'.
The peg should have an upside down 'V' cut into it
to help support the metal when being pierced.
The clamp opens to 5cm / 2".
Spare Bench pegs available 999 083.
NB. These differ to the ordinary Peg as they are
narrower in width. (Ordinary pegs may be used if cut
to size - 999 081).

Very useful but I do find the anvil section to be very soft and dints a bit to easily.

Rating 5 out of 5 Great product for a small work space, 20 Feb 2010
By Olivia Hinton
This bench peg has allowed me to turn my kitchen table into my work bench Ignoring my accident burn marks from soldering accidents Im pleased that no saw mark have joined them. Perfect for the hobbyist jeweller or those without the space for a proper workshop. Enjoy

Rating 5 out of 5 Does what it says on the tin, 17 Feb 2010
By Sarah Banfield
Just started with a few basics to do some home-work outside of course. The bench peg and anvil is cheap, simple and effective. With very little effort I attached it to a standard IKEA desk and could get on with cutting and saw piercing pieces at home.

Rating 3 out of 5 Bench Peg Anvil, 17 Feb 2010
By Marian Hastings
Sadly, the bench thickness was too great for the fixing so the peg could not be used. It would have been very useful to have known the maximum thickness that the clamp would taken.
