Great for the uses advertised, but also for conditioning nylon threads, lubricating flyers on spinning wheels, and for using with parchment craft tools - every crafter should have a block, or even two

I can confirm the beeswax does make sawing easier. It also give a beautiful finish to wooden handles. I used it melted applied with a wool buffing wheel to get a glass like finish to a knife handle.
