At Cooksongold, we boast a vast selection of collet forming tools available in different shapes, sizes and angles – all of which are produced in the best quality materials. Like the jewellery pieces they produce, our collet forming tools are investment pieces that’ll last you throughout your jewellery making career.
Plates and Punches
Made from steel, our round 17 degree plate and punch has 12 round conical holes which are cut into the plate at 17 degree angles. This amazingly versatile, long lasting product is used for forming, stretching, reducing or changing the shape of a collet. Using it is easy too – just place the collet into the appropriate hole, insert the collet punch and tap carefully with a hammer.
A customer favourite for its affordability and shaping technique, our bangle forming die set is a fantastic new innovative product manufactured by Durston. It effortlessly forms bangles and cuffs, both flat and anticlastic in minutes. What’s more, its unique quick change carrier rod fits rigid in every size vice. The Durston bangle forming die set also includes a forming mallet to fit all dies. As it’s gentle you can rest assured that it won’t damage the textures or patterns which are present on the metal you’re forming.
What may stand out among our collet forming tools is the set of 12 stake tools, for bezel settings. This features straight, cylindrical tools which have smooth concave ends supplied with an inter-changeable hand piece for flexible use. You can use them for bezel and rubover settings. These tools are easy to operate too – simply place the appropriate sized cupped end over the setting and rotate, applying a little pressure and the edges of the setting will be forced over the stone.
