Melting Range 1070 - 1100 deg C. Casting temp 1250-1370
Grain refined to minimise porosity. Preferred 18ct
white casting alloy but is high in Pd. Unlike other 18W
alloys does NOT need Rhodium plating.
Nickel-free.
Recommended for use with phosphate-bonded investments
but can be cast into sulphate-bonded investments at the
expense of a poorer finish.
Trials show this material to be ENAMELLABLE (S. Grice)
**PROBABLY TOO HIGH MELTING RANGE FOR SMALL JEWELLERS
(ALL 000 is a good alternative at lower m.p.)
This actually has a higher palladium content that ALL 00
0 Palladium white grain and is therefore significantly w
hiter.
