I found this book invaluable whist studying. Designed and written for students and teachers alike. Packed with information and techniques. How to do projects ranging from the very basics to the more adept. It also offers advice on basic tool kit and suggestions for additions if required. It includes a gallery that simply oozes inspiration.

I could not put this book down when starting out. As Im not formally trained in silversmithing, it proved invaluable in providing examples, techniques, methods and advice. It answered questions that I would have been too embarassed to ask a professional. Buy this if you want to know about chemicals, soldering, setting, piercing, sawing, etc, in fact just about everything is covered in this book.
